These are men that don’t leave a pack, team member or Brother behind. They don’t treat women as possessions and they don’t cheat. Respect takes on an honorable meaning. Women and kids are cherished. Everyone is looked out for and everyone is equal.

L. Ann has made amazing worlds, tackled the taboo subjects and made it easy to imagine living in a world where your protection comes from the vampires, shifters, freaky kids, albinos and orientals, military turned FBI and some Badass Bikers.

With readers writing about rereading the series over and over, she feels like she’s told her characters’ stories in a way that would make them proud. Every book will make you laugh, every book will make you angry for the wrong that happens in the world. Every book will make you cry for the pain that a character feels.

Every book gives you hope that we may just get it right yet.

Hampton Ford. Hamp to his older brother. Ford to his EROP family and friends. Loved the evolution of Ford through the first four books. He and Wheeler have become like brothers. Building a home and business together. Wheeler taking on a big brother role. Helping Ford overcome some of his past traumas. When Wheeler married Kimberly, their family because closer.
Ford with the help of White, finds his older brother and brings him home. Gerren is a special needs adult on the autism spectrum. He is a smart and capable man. He is easily upset and needs someone looking out for him. The EROP family readily pitches in and help. Molly becomes his protector and companion.
The reason for Ford's aversion to rice is revealed in the story of his separation from his brother. For years Ford thought he was the cause of his brother bring different. Harper's investigation proves otherwise, easing his guilt.
Ford has had his eye on Telia Saber since she moved to town. Their easy friendship becomes more. He learns she is on the autism spectrum as well. Ford is an intuitive man and learns to understand and anticipated her needs. He is truly a wiseman. Their wedding sweet and emotional. A celebration of family.
The Wheelers and Ford's become a unique and close knit family. Choosing to continue sharing a home. They become closer when Gerren and Telia move in. With Babies on the way, they just make their home bigger. Ford surprises everyone in his knowledge and ease with the care of babies, when a tragic event, nearly claims his life but bring an infant to his and Telia's care.
The MC, Baxter's, Princes and Protectors make appears throughout the book. Gerren and Alex Lapointe-James becomes best friends. Gerren becomes the goodwill ambassador for the EROP neighborhood. Loved how they were included, just enough to know were they are and what they are doing. How they view the EROP commanders.
A fast paced, sweet and steamy, funny, with some LOL movements, sock monkey's and SEX again, emotional story. Loved Ford and Telia's story. Can't wait for Miguel s story. I'm hoping his story is next.

I have read every book L. Ann Marie has published multiple times. I get lost in each story, fall in love with alll her characters and this book was no different. Ford has been a stand out character to me since the beginning and I was so excited to read his story. Love, acceptance, honor, loyalty, strength and family is very important to me, so I connect with all she writes. I think because I have a disability that I have lived with most of my life and I found a man who loves me a lot like the men she writes about I really connect with her writing. If you have not read her books before I suggest you do so immediately. Start from the beginning with the Baxter's series and I promise you won't be disappointed. Her writing takes you on a journey of emotions that will change the way you look at yourself, others and the world in general!

I am loving this spin off series!! You finally learn about Ford and his story. Garren is such a wonderful surprise. His beautiful spirit touches all he comes in contact with. I was interested in who Ford would end up with and Telia is perfect!! She has her own issues and demons but she is awesome and strong! I am loving the crossovers and little cameos! Danny and Knight getting scolded was classic! I am so eager to read Miguel’s story!!

Oh wow! This book has been on my list of most anticipated book so far! We met Ford and Telia in previous books and I just knew he would be a favourite of mine early on. Ford is such a character, his thirst for a connection and family is endearing in its intensity. His life has been hard and as you read the book you’ll understand what he’s been through and how he’s worked so hard to get where he’s at. Telia and Fords relationship is beautiful the way they communicate their love and connection is stunning. As the story evolves it becomes even more remarkable. His discovery of his native ancestry is both wonderful and hilarious at the same time. The peace he finds through all these new family members is heartwarming to read about. The felelings of hope and family is so strong with this book it makes reading it both pleasurable and emotional. It’s got to be one of my favourite books of the year so far. Fantastic book and stereos. Highly recommend this book and series
